Center Philosophy

KUSD Child Development Center (KUSD CDC) works to provide a healthy stimulating environment where students can thrive and grow in all developmental areas and stages. We believe the foundational piece to high-quality care is building strong, trusting, and responsive relationships with each child and their family. We understand the importance of play and intentional interaction from teachers to enhance the children's natural curiosity about the world around them.

Programs Offered

• Infant/Toddler Program: Serving children 12 weeks to 2 years of age.
• Preschool Program: Serving children 2 years to 5 years of age

Operation Day/Hours

Monday - Friday: Following KUSD Operation Days/Teacher Calendar
Center Hours: 7am - 5pm
Care: Full-time only
KUSD CDC will not offer any additional services or optional services (no after-hours, weekends, nights or non-operation days)

Group Size/Teacher-Child Ratio

Our Infant Program will serve no more than 12 children.
Infant Ratio = minimum of 1 teacher: 4 infants
Our Preschool Program will serve no more than 24 children.
Preschool Ration = minimum of 1 teacher: 12 children

Note: Our enrollment numbers are based on classroom size and licensing regulations. The above numbers are an estimate and will be updated once our location is fully licensed.

Staff Qualifications

Staff must follow Title 22 educational standards. Our goal is to implement staff development programs that will adequately equip each KUSD CDC staff member with the skills necessary to provide the highest quality care for our students.
