Konocti Unified School District includes the towns of Clearlake, Clearlake Oaks, and Lower Lake as well as Spring Valley and a portion of Cobb Mountain.

Certainly one of the best things about Lake County is the “down home neighborliness” of those who live here - simply put, we take care of each other. The Konocti Unified School District believes that the life-long relationships we create with our students and their families are one of our greatest strengths and achievements. We have modified our district structure to create four separate K-6 neighborhood schools. Each of these schools is the “hub” of its neighborhood, supplying education, drama and music performances, art exhibits, athletic facilities and events, nutrition, and social/family activities. We feel that, with the help of our neighborhood volunteers, we can actually provide a more complete, stronger program than ever before.

We are ready to succeed. KUSD has balanced our budget, while still maintaining small class sizes in grades K-3, keeping our elementary music and drama programs, having athletic teams at each school, and bringing back our excellent teachers and support staff. Lower Lake High School continues to have a comprehensive array of classes/programs including: honors classes, Academic Decathlon, career technical education, the SERVE Academy, an outstanding visual and performing arts department, and an athletic program that is among the best in Northern California. We are ready to “Reach New Heights.” Together, we can provide our community and its children with the finest educational experience in Lake County.

We provide all students with high quality curriculum and staff to prepare them to succeed in a diverse and ever-changing society. We will promote a safe and nurturing environment to illicit student innovation, self -efficacy and individuality.
