Student Programs
The Konocti After School Program is the result of the 2002 voter-approved initiative, Proposition 49. The Konocti After School Program funds the establishment of local after school education and enrichment programs. Konocti After School Programs are offered at the four K-7 elementary schools including East Lake School, Pomo School, Burns Valley School and Lower Lake Elementary School.
Program Elements
Each after school program offers a daily schedule that includes:
- Nutrition (Supper meal)
- Academic/Homework Support
- Recreation/physical movement
- Enrichment activities
Eligibility
Students in grades K-7 are eligible to apply for participation in the Konocti After School Programs. In situations where there are more applications than spaces, priority enrollment rules, and waiting list are applied.
Operating Hours
Each program runs daily on all school calendar days (180 days) unless otherwise notified. The program starts after school and runs until 6p each evening.

Mission
Our mission is to extend the school day learning into the afternoon while at ASES. Our Program is intentional as we plan and strategize how to best support students through equity, academic enrichments on core subjects, homework support/ tutoring, STEM activities, SEL activities, ELL support, recreational activities, educational and literacy improvement, a variety of enrichments, and PBIS behavioral responsibility. We believe in the opportunity to build learning mastery for each student so that they can develop new skills and build self-confidence.
