A Message From the Principal
We hope you had a nice holiday on Monday in honor of Martin Luther King Jr. MLK was a civil rights activist in the 1950s and ‘60s who fought courageously against systemic racism in America. He urged people to action by inspiring hope and focusing on the principles of justice, peace, and inclusivity. We remember his legacy each year on the holiday dedicated to his work and to these important ideals.
Minimum Day- January 18th
Thursday, January 18th is a minimum Day. School gets out at 12:30 pm.
School Safety
School safety is the number one priority for us at Pomo Elementary. Here are a few reminders when driving through the school zone. Please no stopping in the crosswalk or along the red curb. All students should use the crosswalk when crossing the street. Lately, there are always students around the school, so please slow down in a school zone. We appreciate everyone’s support in keeping our students safe when at school.
Lost and Found
The lost and found is overflowing. If your student has lost something, please remind them to check the lost and found for it. With the cold weather, jackets and sweaters are essential. At school, we encourage students to tie those jackets and sweaters around their waists when they take them off instead of dropping them on the ground. We recommend parents label their student's sweaters and jackets with their names so we can try to get them back to the student.
If you have questions, please get in touch with your student’s teacher or reach out to me via telephone at (707) 994-6744 or by the following email: april.ellis@konoctiusd.org
