Principal's Message - January 22nd

A Message From the Principal

I hope that everyone had a great weekend and stayed dry with all this rain. This week we will be spreading kindness. The State Superintendent of Public Instruction, Tony Thurmond has declared this week as The Great Kindness Challenge. We have some fun activities planned this week for students to exchange kindness throughout our school and the community.

Kindness Week - January 22nd - 26th

One of the activities students will be participating in this week in honor of The Great Kindness Challenge is to make a kindness chain. Each student will write one kind thing and add their link to the chain. Sharing in activities like these encourages and teaches students about promoting and being kind to others. Small acts like these can really make a difference not only at our school but in our community and the world.

Attendance

School attendance is very important! We all know that education is the key to unlocking a world of opportunities. But did you know that improving attendance rates is like turning that key in the lock to open those doors wide? When students show up regularly, they’re not just filling seats-they’re paving their way to success. Better attendance = better academic performance and a greater chance of graduating with flying colors. I challenge every student to be at school every day and to be on time. Hope to see all the smiling faces every day at 8:oo am.

Intersession February 12th - 16th

The week of February 12th - 16th we will be holding intersession. This is an opportunity for students to receive a little extra support with academics. During this intersession, we will be focusing on reading. Teachers will be inviting students who are in need of a little extra support. Keep an eye out for those permission slips.
