March 4th - Principal's Message

PE

A Message From the Principal

I hope everyone enjoyed this snowy weather this weekend. This week we will be celebrating reading with Spirit Week activities. We want to encourage the lifelong love of reading.

Read Across America Week

We kick off Read Across America Week every year on Dr. Seuss’s birthday -- March 2-- and we dedicate the whole month of March to reading. When students make the transition from learning to read to reading to learn, whole new worlds open up for them. As Dr. Seuss once said, “The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go.”

Read Across America Spirit Week - March 4th - 8th

Our staff has lots of fun activities planned for students during the week. See the attached flyer for the school's spirit days.

Awards Assembly- Friday, March 8th

Friday, March 8th is the Awards Assembly. If your student is receiving an award the teacher will reach out to let you know. Please remember that all visitors must sign in at the front office and pick up a visitor's pass. Also, we are not allowed to have balloons in the Multipurpose room. When the balloons get loose, which happens often, it sets off the whole school's fire alarms. You can leave the balloons in the front office until the assembly is over or tie them on the rail outside the MPR.
