We are pleased to introduce Lower Lake High School's acting principal, Teresa Rensch. Although she is new to this role, she has served as the district's Director of Curriculum and Instruction since 2014. She has spent the last 26 years of her professional life in education--first as a classroom teacher for twelve years and then as a school administrator for nine years before joining Konocti Unified. Ms. Rensch holds a doctorate in Educational Leadership and Management and looks forward to bringing her experience to LLHS.
Her specific goals include improving LLHS procedures so every student feels safe and has a sense of belonging at school. She would also like to focus on specific literacy goals for each student. She said, "In my seven years here, I have fallen in love with KUSD and LLHS. I believe education is the greatest gift we can give students, families, the community, and society. Being able to read and write and think gives our students control of their lives and provides them with the skills to make their dreams come true."
She plans to work in close collaboration with teachers and student families to contribute to a school where "every student walks across the graduation stage with the knowledge, skills, health, and confidence to be successful."
She encourages staff and families to reach out if they have questions, concerns, or ideas about how to make LLHS even better.
