About Your Principal

AiricMy name is Airic Guerrero and it is with great pleasure and enthusiasm that I introduce myself as the new Principal of Lower Lake High School. I am honored to be joining this remarkable educational institution and becoming a part of the strong and vibrant community that surrounds it. I have a deep passion for education and a commitment to student success. I am excited to embark on this journey alongside our exceptional students, dedicated staff, and parents.

I bring a wealth of experience and a solid educational background. I have dedicated over 20 years to serving in various leadership roles within the field of education. Throughout my career, I have had the privilege of working with diverse student populations, fostering an inclusive and supportive environment where every student has the opportunity to thrive.

I started my career at Lower Lake High School back in the early 2000s as a teacher and coach for both Football and Track. I then went to Upper Lake High School, where I was a teacher and coached Football, Girls' Basketball, and Golf for about ten years. I was then offered a Dean of Students position at Middletown High School, then Vice Principal, and then Principal, where I also coached football. Over the years, I have taught SPED classes, Science, Math, Driver Ed, Health, Intro to Computers, and PE.

My experience as a coach has developed my team-oriented style of leadership. My educational philosophy revolves around the belief that each student is unique and possesses untapped potential waiting to be discovered. I firmly advocate for student-centered learning, encouraging critical thinking, creativity, and collaboration. By providing a safe and nurturing environment, we can empower our students to become confident, independent learners who are prepared for the challenges and opportunities of the future.

In addition to academic excellence, I firmly believe in the importance of developing well-rounded individuals. I will work closely with our talented educators to enhance our extracurricular programs, fostering opportunities for students to explore their interests and talents outside the classroom. By engaging in a wide range of activities, our students will develop important life skills, discover their passions, and cultivate a strong sense of community and belonging.

Collaboration and open communication are paramount to the success of any educational community. I value the input and involvement of our parents, guardians, and community members in shaping the educational experience we provide. Together, we will create a dynamic partnership that supports our students and promotes their growth and development.

I am truly excited about the journey that lies ahead for Lower Lake High School. As your Principal, my door will always be open, and I welcome your thoughts, feedback, and ideas. I am committed to building strong relationships with students, staff, and community members.

Thank you for your warm welcome and support. I am honored to be a part of the Lower Lake High School community, and I am eager to contribute to our remarkable school's continued success and growth.
