Agriculture & Natural Resources Pathway
Lower Lake FFA provides education in 4 different areas of agriculture. They are all CTE pathways.
- Floral Design
- Horticulture
- Ag Mechanics
- Animal Science.
Ornamental horticulture workers are involved in the development, production, and maintenance of nursery, landscaping, and floral industry-related products. Necessary knowledge of related areas includes plant identification, plant physiology, soil science, and plant reproduction, as well as landscaping design, installation, and maintenance.
Along with classwork, there is an opportunity for students to raise animals for fair and to attend events outside of the classroom. There are Leadership Conferences, regional activities, and the beloved State Convention. Students will benefit from competition as well. Lower Lake FFA participates in Public Speaking, Opening / Closing Ceremonies, and Floral Competition.
Lower Lake FFA is a student-run organization that does a lot of community service here locally and have a lot of fun doing so. We serve at dinners for the Lower Lake Community Action Agency and we attend Wreath's Across America Every year. We celebrate FFA Week with an animal day every year. FFA is a lot of fun, we travel a lot and you will make lifelong memories.
