CalFresh Healthy Living Corner

Children who develop healthy habits, like eating fruits and vegetables early on in life see many benefits. Eating fruits and vegetables can help your kids: concentrate and do better in school, feel good about themselves, grow and develop strong bodies, and lower their future risk of diseases like obesity, type 2 diabetes, heart disease, and certain types of cancer.

Use the chart below to find out how many fruits and vegetables your family should be eating.

If you belong to this group… You should eat this amount of fruit…and this amount of

vegetables every day:

Kids 2-5 years old 1 – 1 ½ cups 1 – 2 cups

Kids 6-11 years old 1 – 2 cups 1 ½ - 3 cups

Kids 12-18 years old 1 ½ – 2 ½ cups 2 – 4 cups

Adults 19+ 2 – 2 ½ cups 2 ½ - 4 cups

Parent Pick Up

Parents are to park across the street. The Bus Loading Zone, Fire Lanes, and cemetery are not parking areas or drop off zones. These areas are designated for Buses and Emergency personnel or cause issues with school operations. This includes when you are picking your student(s) up from the After School Program (ASP).

Guests on Campus

Our visitor sign system (Raptor) is up and running again. Soon the pink sign in sheets will no longer be utilized for visitors to sign in. A Federal or State issued identification card will be required to sign in. To ease the transition we are asking that you register in the Attendance Office the next time you are on campus so that you can use the self kiosk any time after that. The safety of our students is a priority and the Raptor system will help us with this. Thank you for understanding.

Absent Students

If your child is sick, or absent for any reason, please call the Office or respond to the notification you receive from Aeries and let us know. If you get a doctor’s note, please send a copy to lorena.guzman@konoctiusd.org Click on this link for more information https://konoctiusd.org/District/Portal/health-wellness
