Lewis Families and HS Students,
Native American Heritage Month
November is Native American Heritage Month, a time to commemorate the culture, heritage, and lasting contributions of America’s first nations, from art and medicine to governing, ecology, and more.
This year’s theme at the U.S. Department of the Interior is Celebrating Tribal Sovereignty and Identity. Tribal sovereignty ensures that any decisions about tribes with regard to their property and citizens are made with their participation and consent.
