W. C. Carle’ High School

Carle’ Families and Students,
When to Stay Home From School
Missing school can be a bummer for kids and a hassle for families, but keeping our kids home when they’re under the weather is a must! It is not just about their rest and recovery; it’s a caring act to protect their classmates and school community. Check out these guidelines for when it’s best to keep your child home: https://konoctiusd.org/District/Portal/health-wellness
Vaping
Teens who vape are 3x more likely to become cigarette smokers. Let’s chat with our teens openly about the risks. Cigarettes and vaping bring serious health hazards including cancer to heart issues. It is time for all of us to make informed and healthy choices.
Intersession Week: Feb 12-16
There is no regular school the week of Feb 12-16. Hilary Devine will be running a credit recovery class for the week. Please discuss this with your child and if you want them to attend have them sign up with Hilary. Transportation and meals will be provided.
Gold Level Reward Trip
We are planning our third grading period Gold Level trip. We will be taking the students that earned Gold Level to the Taylor Observatory in Kelseyville on February 2. Remind your child to be at school as much as possible and do all assignments to earn Gold Level for this grading period, which ends Feb 23. We are proud of our students for working hard!
Appropriate Dress
Please pay attention to what your child is wearing to school and don’t allow any clothing with depictions of drugs or alcohol.
Sincerely,
Tara Bianchi
