Carle’ Families and Students,

Student Leadership Fun Activities

On Friday our Student Leadership team sponsored a “Cozy Friday” activity. Students wore scarves, hats and pajamas and were treated to a cup of hot cocoa. Today our Leadership team facilitated Musical Chairs at the end of the day. Thank you to our Leadership students and to Ms. Devine for your hard work and school spirit!

 4th Grading Period

We are halfway through our 4th grading period, which ends February 23. In order to earn the maximum amount of credits, students must have good attendance and be on task while in class. Students may also sign up for “Credit Recovery” through the school counselor and have the opportunity to earn even more credit.

Gold Level Field Trip

This Friday our 11 Gold Level students will join Mr. Gill on a fun trip to the Taylor Observatory in Kelseyville. We are busy planning our next Gold Level trip to Safari West!

Intersession Week: Feb 12-16

There is no regular school the week of Feb 12-16. Hilary Devine will be running a credit recovery class for the week. Please discuss this with your child and if you want them to attend have them sign up with Hilary. Transportation and meals will be provided.

Inclusivity

It might not always be easy to spot, but excluding others is a form of bullying that can really impact our kiddos.

We all want our children to grow up in a world where they feel valued and included. Exclusion can leave a lasting impact on their self-esteem and happiness. But guess what? We have the power to make a positive difference!

The first step is understanding. Kids can be unintentionally exclusive, and it's our job to guide them toward kindness and empathy. Let's talk to our little ones about the importance of including everyone, celebrating differences, and making new friends.

Next up, let's validate our child's feelings. If they're feeling left out, it's totally okay for them to feel that way. Let's create an open space where they feel comfortable sharing their emotions with us.

And now, the support part! Encourage your child to explore new activities and interests where they can meet like-minded friends. Whether it's joining a club, trying out a new sport, or participating in group activities, these experiences can foster connections and boost their confidence.

Remind your child that friendships evolve, and it's okay to have different groups of friends. Sometimes, it just takes time to find the perfect squad.

Remember, our little ones are learning from us every day. Let's be the positive influence that promotes inclusivity and kindness. #InclusionMatters #ParentingTogether

Sincerely,

Tara Bianchi
