Happy Monday! We all hope you have had a restful and relaxing weekend!

Conferences

Will take place November 15th, 16th, and 17th. Teachers will communicate your child’s conference time.

Upcoming Minimum Days

Students will be released at 12:35 pm on November 15th, 16th, and 17th.

New Report Cards

To improve the way we communicate student growth and success, we have adopted a new report card format. The new report cards show a student's progress toward specific, grade-level standards set by the State of California.  Parents and students will no longer see grades of A, B, C, D, or F with an overall score. Now, families will see metrics showing whether standards are met, progress is being made, they are emerging in learning the skill, or there is a concern that the student is significantly below grade level. The report cards will do a better job of demonstrating the depth of a student's knowledge. At conference time, you will see the new report card and have an opportunity to ask questions.

Winter Event on December 13th at 5 pm

More details to come in the coming weeks.

Guests on Campus

Our visitor sign system (Raptor) is up and running again. Soon the pink sign-in sheets will no longer be utilized for visitors to sign in. A Federal or state-issued identification card will be required to sign in. To ease the transition we are asking that you register in the Attendance Office the next time you are on campus so that you can use the self kiosk any time after that. The safety of our students is a priority and the Raptor system will help us with this. Thank you for understanding.

Parents are to park across the street. The Bus Loading Zone and Fire Lanes are not parking areas or drop-off zones. These areas are designated for Buses and Emergency personnel. This includes when you are picking your student(s) up from the After School Program (ASP).

Cookie Dough Fundraiser

This started last week and ends on 11/27/23. There are amazing choices of cookie dough and other sweet treats.

Native American Heritage Month

November is Native American Heritage Month, a time to commemorate the culture, heritage, and lasting contributions of America’s First Nations, from art and medicine to governing, ecology, and more.

This year’s theme at the U.S. Department of the Interior is Celebrating Tribal Sovereignty and Identity. Tribal sovereignty ensures that any decisions about tribes with regard to their property and citizens are made with their participation and consent.

No School Next Week for Fall Break

No school November 20th-24th
