LLES Principal

Welcome to Lower Lake Elementary School!

It is our pleasure to welcome you to Lower Lake Elementary for the 2023-2024 school year. The entire staff has been hard at work to ensure it will be a wonderful year for our students. We have exceptional teachers and an excellent educational program to offer you. We are firmly committed to preparing our students to live up to their potential while becoming productive citizens as adults.

The relationship between home and school is very important to the overall success of student education. I strongly encourage open communication between families, teachers and school administration. Your child will be bringing home a “weekly blue folder” every Tuesday. This folder will contain samples of your child’s work and information from the teachers and the office. Another practice we try to use consistently is publishing any notices from the office a couple of times a month. Any time you see colored paper, typically a half sheet, among your child’s papers, you’ll know it’s a message from the office. A weekly message from my office will be sent to your email. Please be sure that the office has your current email and phone contact information, so that you get the most up to date information.

We appreciate your willingness to share your time and expertise with us and we are always open to hearing your ideas for making our school a better place for our students to learn.

Working together we can ensure that every child will learn, be cared for, and will have an enjoyable school experience.  We look forward to an outstanding year.

About the Principal

Cook WilliamHello LLES friends and families! My name is William Cook and I am the proud principal of Lower Lake Elementary School. I have worked in the Konocti Unified School District for 10 years in various roles at Pomo, East Lake and Lower Lake Elementary. I started as a teacher, then moved into an Instructional Coach role and for the past year I have been the Assistant Principal. One thing that has been true in all of my positions is my love for our students, families and staff. I want the best for everyone here and I come to work each day hoping that that is what I show. Connecting with our students and giving them the support they need is the best part of my job.

At home, I am a dad of 2, an infant and toddler, who keep me running around constantly. They are fun loving and I wouldn't trade it for anything. What they say is true, the days are long but the years are short! So, in that case, I want to thank you for trusting your kids' time each day with our amazing staff. It does go by fast and their growth and learning is of utmost importance to us here on campus. Please, make an appointment to see me if you need anything. I can speak for the staff on campus-we want to help and make school a great memory for your child to talk about when they grow up!

Best regards,

William Cook
