A Message From Principal Serpa:

Welcome to another fantastic week Tiger families! We are finishing up the month of January by celebrating the 100th day of school on Tuesday. That means only 80 days left! We have so much to do and so many things left to learn in this short amount of time. To get the most out of the rest of the year, we need to increase attendance and encourage students to put in maximum effort on their studies. Parents, you can help by talking to your children about the importance of education. Learning is hard, but it is so worth the effort.

Monthly Attendance Game:

We have a new class game for February. Classes qualify to play if they are missing no more than one student teacher day. Qualifying classes will be called up at the end of the day to pull a letter. The class to spell SWEETHEART first wins a party! Your attendance matters in so many ways. Don’t let yourself or your classmates down! Come to school everyday!

There is no time to catch students up when they miss a day or leave early.

All students in grades 5 & 6 will be going on a field trip to the Middletown Arts Center this week. They will learn about the current exhibition “RAÍCES  HERMOSAS ~ Gorgeous Roots” and participate in an art project. Permission slips are going home. Be sure to return them immediately to ensure your child gets to attend. Chaperones are not needed for these trips.
