Student Health and Safety Remain Top Priorities in KUSD

Konocti is committed to the health, safety and well-being of our students.  Recent reports from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) show a 78% increase of youth e-cigarette use in 2018. Many student users are unaware of nicotine levels found in e-cigarettes, which lead to an increased likelihood of smoking tobacco cigarettes.

In the coming weeks, you will see new “No Smoking or Vaping” signs across the Konocti Unified campus, in accordance with California Education Code Section 48901. Help us to prevent smoking and encourage a healthy lifestyle for all students in Konocti.
