Pertussis (Whooping Cough)

Pertussis is highly contagious and can be fatal to infants. Adults and teens need booster shots as immunity from prior vaccination or natural disease fades over time. Parents, grandparents, health care workers and anyone who works with pregnant or post-partum women, or cares for, infants or young children should be immunized.

For more information, you can visit the following websites:   http://www.cdc.gov/pertussis/  and www.cdph.ca.gov
