Health and Wellness

There is a new law in California that requires all 7th grade students to receive the Tdap and Varicella (chickenpox) booster vaccine prior to starting the 2012 school year. If your child has a local physician or provider, and they have not met this requirement, please call and schedule an appointment as soon as possible. If your child does not have a physician or medical insurance, please contact the Lake County Public Health Department at 263-1090 to discuss local options or to make an appointment. The health department is located at: 922 Bevins Ct. Lakeport. They provide immunizations by appointment .The cost for the Tdap vaccine through public health is $9.00 (but some children will qualify to receive this vaccine free of cost).

If you have medical insurance, but do not have an attending physician for your child, you can call the Adventist St. Helena Family Health Clinic at 995-4530 to discuss options or to schedule an appointment (if available).

If your child has already received the Tdap booster vaccine, be sure to fax the immunization record to Health Services at: 994-1518 or provide a copy to the school office of your child’s attendance.

You can contact health services directly at 994-6137 if you require any further information.

The Health Services department of the Konocti Unified School District is here to provide general health services and educational resources to our students, parents and community at large.
